There is a goddamn Naruto coat in the window of the charity shop across the road from my flat and the employees have dressed it up in a womens belt and necklace not realising that it isn’t a casual womans garment.
Certainly anon, having personally experienced what it’s like to be in love with and try to have a relationship with someone who’s not right for you, I have a million reasons for why a relationship like the one I had would fail.
I’m assuming that they started this relationship because they love each other, I don’t think Sasuke would agree to something like this unless it was mutual in some regard, I doubt he’s the type to use someone like that. Also, I want to illustrate why feelings/love alone is not enough to have a stable, functional, and healthy relationship. In fact, in many ways, you can accidentally turn yourself and your partner into a victim of your own feelings without ever meaning to.
1. Sakura does not understand Sasuke:
Sakura has no idea what it’s like growing up as an orphan, no clue what it’s like to lose those you care about and love the most. (She compared the loneliness she’d feel if he left the village to the loneliness he felt losing his entire family for crying out loud!) She can’t understand his pain, she has no similar life experiences she could use to relate to him, and while with a normal person, this wouldn’t be that big a deal; Sasuke isn’t normal. He only seems to resonate with people who are similar to him and Sakura is almost his complete opposite. She’s too normal for him. XD
I’ll add my own twist to it, reasons why NaruSaku will work out, using the same points that megumi just wrote
1. Sakura does understand Naruto
Like Megumi said, Sakura doesn’t understand being an orphan. But she does know the isolation that Naruto went through.
The danger of being a Jinchuriki
Naruto’s dedication to his friends
2. Naruto understands Sakura
Naruto can understand her depression, her sorrow. He can even tell when she’s lying
He knows how to cheer her up.
3. Sakura can stand her ground against Naruto
3. 2. 1
4. Naruto is willing to put Sakura’s happiness above his.
5. Naruto is kind and loves to complement her
Sakura is high maintenance and lacks self-confidence. But Naruto loves to compliment her
He also gives her hope.
6. Naruto is very emotional
He made the talk no jutsu. I think I’ve proven my point, next
The series has shown that Naruto and Sakura spend their off time with each other. Visiting Kakashi, eating ramen and even talking after the Invasion of Pain.8. Trust.
If she willing to trust Obito just because he saved Naruto, I think she trust him pretty well. Or that Naruto trusts Sakura as well.
9. Sakura is too hard on herself
Yes, she is. With Naruto, unlike with Sasuke. She try her best to fix it without trying to make herself into something she isn’t
Naruto and Sakura have the best developed relationship in the series. Naruto and Sakura will do anything for the other. They are true friends.
They are truly happy with each other
